Life is hard right now...

I thought I was going to be great at picture taking and keeping up with my sewing projects on this blog, but Ive let everyone down! I thought if I had people that knew I was blogging about my sewing-ness that I'd be held accountable in a way that would encourage me to keep it up! I know I should be posting about sewing...but life has been hectic...choices are needing to be made...and I don't really know where I'll be living in about a months time. I like where I am here in Texas...tumbleweeds actually blow out in these parts :) ! But I can't live in the situation I am in, and sadly I've been in it for 6 months. 'Someone' (yes I know without a doubt who it was, but I'll keep from mentioning who in order to keep focused) ran over my dog.

Merla was a Catahoula Mix. My protector. My toe-warmer in the winter. Merla was 2 years old. My blue-eyed pup who loved to feel the wind in her face, it didn't matter if we were on a backroad or the highway.

She was my 62 pound cuddle-bug. She knew when I was sick, happy, sad, or pissed...it didnt matter...she knew. Merla could pick out 'the bad guys'..and quietly let them know to stay away. She could have been my twin in a previous life. We were a team together. The day she passed...I knew something wasn't right...then I got the call...and there was nothing I could do but go as fast as my truck would go...its 14 miles from work into town and that was the longest 14 miles of my life. The 'man' that took her life has yet to apologize to me. He has shown no sympathy. No remorse. Nothing. Notta. Now his family feels that I need to apologize to them for the way I've been treating this said 'man'. I have NOT been in the position to talk or see anyone one in this 'said' family...so tell me...how have I been treating him wrongly. Wrongly treating him would be if I was to egg their house. Throw poo on their front door and at their window screens. Let the air out of their truck tires. Or if I had turned their water on at night and let it run! I could have even gone and cut their telephone line! That would be treating him wrongly!!! As much as I wanted to do all those things I haven't. I haven't said ONE word to them or done ONE thing wrong. Please tell me why I am expected to apologize to them?!?! Maybe I should just apologize for not doing all those I felt like doing. Ive been biting my tongue long enough. If my boyfriend cant stand up for me in our relationship to this 'said' family...then he isn't the man I thought he was. And I don't want a future with a boy...I want a man to hold me up when I am weak, A man that will stand beside me, who will confide in me as I would him. I want a man that I can trust. I need a man in my future who knows what he wants and will go after it...one with ambition! So all in all I will say I am sorry to those of you who actually read my blog (my 2 friends)...this is more of a venting post then a sewing post. This isn't something I can just post on fb. Its not something I can just call up a friend and talk about. Sure some know a little about whats going on. Most don't know about a letter from the 'man's' step-daughter telling me that "...if I love my bf and want to make it work, then you have to make it work with us." How about about that crap!!
I better end this before I do something 'wrong'.

One more picture of my angel that keeps visiting me in my dreams :)

Playing Catch Up!

For my mom's birthday..we went to the Monster Truck Jam this past weekend!!! It was great..went with my mom, both brothers, sister, and 3.5 of my 6.5 nieces and nephews :) . I was able to whip out 3 'monster truck' shirts...but as you can see in the pictures...they were really just some kind of 4 door vehicle that resembled monster trucks. They worked and served their purpose well...especially since I live 45 miles (one way) to the nearest Hobby Lobby and Super Wal*mart. Can't exactly drive around the corner and pick up the perfect fabrics...but hey...they were happy :) I was happy!

This is what S's shirt looked like before I got to know my picker
just a little bit better...so that I could add a green border!!(no picture with border)

WoW ..how time has flown!

I have MANY projects and pictures to post on here :) ..I have been busy...but work has noticed :(  !! Luckly the gin I work for has finished ginning all the cotton within a 62 mile radius!!! Whewww what a year..started ginning the 9th of October and finished the 31st of January and finished with over 84,000 bales of cotton leaving here and now sitting in one of 10 barns at Lov-Cot. Each bale weighs at least 450 pounds!!! Thats a whole lotta cotton!!!
Hopefully I will have my picture posted and linked (correctly) to various blogs :)
...OHhhh and I recently WON my 2nd giveaway :) :) :) ...The first win was a pattern from MADE so I could make a summer dress with the technique of 'shirring' ...but Im still scared to attempt it ..even though one of the steps is to 'shrink' elastic thread with the iron sounds like a lot of fun to watch it all come together!! I really need to just jump into it!
My recent win is going to be for nephew- S who is 3 years old, neice- S who is 18 months, and a 'bun in the oven' - due in July! ..Im pretty excited to squeeze the little treasures....I was talking about the 'giveaway' BUT it goes for S and S too!!

Im sorry I haven't repsonded to the comments about my serger...she is a Juno Junome (named JUNE)  :) but thats all I remember! I have had a piece of paper in my purse FOR EVER that had my notes about the serger on it....I just can't find it now...ooopsss!! I'll get onto that tonight and --cross your fingers-- I will be full of time to post tomorrow :)  .
Got to go..... since we finished ginning ...I get off work at FIVE O'CLOCK-->wooooohooooo<-- man if feels great to get home in the daylight! Gives me time to sew sew sew :)

End of the Chrismas towels!

I just realized...its been 3 weeks since I last posted! Working in a cotton gin during ginning season is hectic...and doesn't allow for much -me- time after (or during) working 12+ hours a day! I did finish all the towels...but JUST in the nick of time..phewww! My sister actually received my box on friday!!!
Out of all the kiddos...the oldest two (6 and 7)  were pretty upset that I hadn't given them a --toy--! Ha..well.. little do they know that this here auntie will no longer be giving them toys...each of their bedrooms, the guest room, and the playroom are FULL of toys! Anything from Barbies to dinosaurs to Polly Pocket to Littlest Pet Shop and even My Little Pony!!! You name it ..they have it...and Im tired of seeing the toys I HAD previously given pushed aside into a corner because they have so much play with and can't remember what they already have. (End of venting!)
I was pleased with the work that I accomplished...I can't get any better if I just keep buying the kiddos toys =) So here you have the rest of the towel pictures!
